When to sow Cosmos seeds in NZ?

Cosmos seeds should be sown in New Zealand during spring, once frost risks have passed. Warmer regions can sow seeds as early as September, while cooler areas benefit from waiting until October or November to sow. Cosmos grows best when sown in trays into warm, well-draining soil or mix. Transplant young seedlings to a sunny location to promote vibrant blooms and healthy growth.
